Organized in collaboration with the BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) and Vancouver Community College (VCC), the event brought together members of the Consular Corps, senior leaders from B.C.’s post-secondary institutions, and representatives of the provincial government. Honourable Susie Chant, Parliamentary Secretary Responsible for the Consular Corps was also among the attendees.
The program featured remarks by Dr. Randall Martin, Executive Director of BCCIE; the Honourable Anne Kang, Minister of Advanced Education and Future Skills; and Mr. Ricardo Arredondo, Consul General of Argentina (Dean of the Consular Corps). The speakers emphasized the importance of international education, global engagement, and the role of consular missions in fostering academic and cultural exchange.
Following the presentations, participants joined a networking lunch, which provided an opportunity for informal engagement.
