Message on Canada Day 2025

Message on Canada Day 2025

On the occasion of Canada Day, the Consulate General of Afghanistan in Vancouver extends its warmest congratulations to the people of Canada, especially to the vibrant Afghan-Canadian community in British Columbia and across the country.

Canada Day is a moment to celebrate the values that define this great nation: diversity, inclusion, compassion, and democratic ideals. These values resonate deeply with the people of Afghanistan and serve as a source of hope and solidarity during these challenging times.

We express our sincere appreciation for Canada’s steadfast support for the people of Afghanistan, particularly through its humanitarian and resettlement programs. Canada’s commitment to welcoming Afghan refugees and providing protection to those at risk has brought renewed hope and dignity to thousands of individuals and families.

We are also grateful for Canada’s continued advocacy for human rights, women’s rights, and democratic governance in Afghanistan. These efforts remain vital as we strive collectively for a more just and peaceful future for our country.

On this special day, we honor the enduring friendship between the people of Afghanistan and Canada. We recognize the many contributions of Afghan-Canadians to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Canadian society, and we pay tribute to all those from both nations who have worked and continue to work in defense of freedom, peace, and shared values.

As we celebrate Canada’s national day, let us reaffirm our mutual commitment to partnership, respect, and cooperation. The Consulate remains dedicated to strengthening the ties between our communities and fostering meaningful collaboration in the spirit of friendship and common purpose.
